The National Scout Sailing Regatta

Printer-friendly version

The regatta is a friendly event for Scouts, Explorers and Network members of The Scout Association, run late summer each year as a locally organised national event.

  • The age groups are Under 13, Under 15, Under 18 and Leaders/Network (over 18s).
  • The classes are single-handed, fast handicap (2-handed, PY 1134 or less), and slow handicap (2-handed PY 1135 and above).

Whilst many helms will be very experienced, entries are very welcome from adequate sailors with little or no formal racing experience. (Entries are made by Scout Groups and Units).

The 2017 event is being run at Norfolk Broads Yacht Club. (In 2016 it was at South Shields).
